Bio:

Yakira Cohen is a sophomore from New Rochelle, New York. She is an undecided student because she has too many passions. Writing and Judaism, just two of these passions, are what prompted her to join Mitzpeh this semester. She is also interested in psychology, and keeps a satirical blog about her interactions as an orthodox Jew on a secular college campus. Yakira values her community and believes in the importance of giving back. She serves on the charity committee for Maryland Hillel.
