The first flight is set for March 15, and will be flying out of Newark, New Jersey. From that date, United Airlines plans to host daily flights between the two locations. A second daily flight will resume on March 28.

The ongoing Israel-Hamas War, which began on Oct. 7, 2023, has caused a halt in international flights. A recent ceasefire agreement has eased immediate danger in the region, allowing flights to resume.

“This resumption follows a detailed assessment of operational considerations for the region and close work with the unions who represent our flight attendants and pilots,” United Airlines said in a statement on Feb. 4.

Delta Airlines plans to resume flights between New York and Tel Aviv beginning on April 1.

“This important move eases travel difficulties for businesses, the Jewish community, and many others in New Jersey and will allow families to travel to see loved ones or host them in time for the Passover holiday,” New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy said in a statement on Feb. 4.
